چکیده

Mobile eye tracking (MET) enables the recording of gaze data in less-controlled research environments, but best practices for its use studies about visual attention to foods are yet undetermined. This study supports building a coherent framework this methodological approach by discussing current eye-tracking trends field, applying MET an experiment with real foods, and proposing approaches future studies. In experiment, 32 female participants’ were recorded while they inspected salad buffet 20 s then assembled self-choice salad. The functionality fixation, scanpath, pupil size measures was investigated, focusing on associations between movements food item color position, preference, selected measures. Dish placement affected relative amount visits single item, whereas preference not associated examined pupil-size measure did function elderly participants. Importantly, simple cluster analysis, based scanpath selection measure, helped illustrate different profiles view selection. It determined that position should be carefully considered involving could useful bringing forth behavioral differences revealed fixation parameters alone. identifying “attention-action” combining other seems fruitful way approaching individual viewing

Keeping an eye on pain: investigating visual attention biases in individuals with chronic pain using eye-tracking methodology

Attentional biases to painful stimuli are evident in individuals with chronic pain, although the directional tendency of these biases (ie, toward or away from threat-related stimuli) remains unclear. This study used eye-tracking technology, a measure of visual attention, to evaluate the attentional patterns of individuals with and without chronic pain during exposure to injury-related and neutr...

Visual attention to the Logos of Popular and Unknown Brands: An Eye-tracking Study during Decision-making

A logo epitomizes a brand and depicts the picture of a product; consequently, attention, as an initial step of the AIDA model, to the logo is a good-looking index to survey the cognitive processing during consumers’ decision-making. Eye tracker extracts the visual attention data. For these reasons and appreciated from fixation duration, in the present study, the process of visual attention to t...

Moral Judgments and Visual Attention: An Eye- Tracking Investigation

When making moral judgments people often make snap decisions and then highlight information that confirms that preliminary judgment, a phenomenon referred to as “motivated moral reasoning.” The current study uses eye-tracking technology to examine whether people are also “motivated moral perceivers” – that is, whether people disproportionally attend to visual information that is consistent with...

P58: Visual Working Memory Performance Based on Saccades in Children with and without Specific Learning Disorder: An Eye-Tracking Study

Some of the previous studies show that children with SLD have deficits in visual processing and working memory. Hence, the aim of this research was to investigate problems of visual working memory based on behavioral neuroscience method, using an eye tracker device. The method of present study was ex-post facto study. The participants included couple of twelve children with SLD (mean age=10.92)...
